According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan are going to turn their attention towards Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz as a direct result of them missing out on Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Real Madrid duo have both been linked with moves away either in the upcoming January transfer window or perhaps even next summer, but when it comes to Milan, it’s hard to keep track of which players they’re monitoring and which they aren’t.
The aforementioned talks between themselves and Zlatan seemed to be going fairly well right up until they got to the matter of the contract length. Now that the deal is seemingly out of the window they will need to re-group, and going after the likes of Jovic and Diaz could be the way to do just that.
Neither has turned out to be the sort of world beaters that Real were hoping for, and with Milan desperately needing to solve their shortage of goalscoring strikers, they’re almost certain to throw money at the situation until someone decides to come on board.
