Italian giants AC Milan are considering making an offer for Lazio centre-back Stefan de Vrij, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Rossoneri believe the Dutch defender would be an excellent partner for Alessio Romagnoli in years to come and they will attempt to lure him to San Siro.
That will be no easy task given that Lazio consider De Vrij to be a key member of the squad and they hope to tie him down to a new and improved deal even though the Netherlands international has another three years left on his current contract.
New AC Milan owners are expected to allocate significant transfer funds for the January window and the Dutch defender is one of the players on club’s hit-list.
The Rossoneri have seriously raised their form of late, winning four of last five fixtures and they can be backed at 15/4 to defeat leaders Juventus tomorrow evening.
