AC Milan are interested in signing Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The Rossoneri have already held preliminary talks with the representatives of the 25-year-old wing-back as they plan to revitalize their squad ahead of 2024/25. They have already said goodbye to head coach Stefano Pioli, striker Olivier Giroud, and defender Simon Kjaer, and a number of incoming transfers will surely need to be done.
As it stands, Lille boss Paulo Fonseca, whose contract with the Ligue 1 side expires at the end of June, appears to be the frontrunner to succeed Pioli in the dugout.
Having finished runners-up to city rivals Inter, AC Milan will be playing in the Champions League next season and with Spurs missing out on the competition, it should prove an important point as they work on persuading Emerson to make the switch from North London to the north of Italy.
