Il Corriere dello Sport claims that AC Milan are readying a new assault on Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas.
The Rossoneri have been weighing up a January move for the Spaniard for quite some time and they are likely to step up their interest now that Riccardo Montolivo is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
AC Milan officials are well aware that Cesc Fabregas is no longer an important player at Stamford Bridge and Antonio Conte will probably allow him to leave in the winter.
Meanwhile, his experience and creativity would be a huge asset for the Rossoneri, so there is a good chance a deal will be made in the January transfer window.
AC Milan chief Massimiliano Mirabelli flew to England last week to attend a number of meetings and Italian media outlets believe he used the opportunity to discuss the possibility of recruiting Cesc Fabregas with Chelsea.
