Italian giants AC Milan are readying a new assault on Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio, according to Tuttosport.
The Rossoneri have long ago identified the Argentine as their number one target to reinforce the back line, and they should soon come forward with an official proposal.
AC Milan will not have money to spend until the Chinese consortium completes the club takeover, but they do plan to offload several players to fund the deal for Musacchio.
Star striker Carlos Bacca is on the verge of leaving the club, with PSG and Sevilla among his suitors, whereas Jose Ernesto Sosa and Keisuke Honda will be allowed to leave as well.
After hopefully completing the deal for Musacchio, AC Milan will turn their attention to Hoffenheim hotshot Sebastian Rudy, who should be available for mere €5 million due to the fact that his contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
