Free-spending AC Milan are set to make another assault on Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Rossoneri have recruited a number of quality footballers this summer, but they still plan to add a high-profile striker to their squad.
It is no secret that Kalinic is one of their top targets, with the Croatian admitting a while back that he would be delighted to move to San Siro.
AC Milan have so far been unable to find an agreement with Fiorentina, who want €30 million for their prized possession, but a breakthrough could be made soon.
Namely, while they were willing to offer between €20m and €22m, the Rossoneri may be prepared to include Viola target Gabriel Paletta in the deal, and that could make all the difference.
Nikola Kalinic, 29, has scored a total of 27 goals in 51 Serie A starts since joining from Dnipro.
