Hellas Verona full-back Romulo could be the subject of a summer bid from AC Milan, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Rossoneri have finally completed the signing of Adil Rami from Valencia, but they also hope to sign a new right-sided defender.
And with Hellas Verona star capable of playing at right-back, right midfield and centre midfield, AC Milan are eager to lure the Italy international to San Siro.
Having recently purchased the player’s contract from Fiorentina for €3.5 million, the Gialloblu want €8 million for their star player, while the Rossoneri will obviously attempt to lower the asking price.
Romulo, 27, was in fine form last season, having managed 6 goals and 8 assists in 32 Serie A outings, helping Verona achieve a top ten finish.
He was then named in Italy’s provisional World Cup squad, but eventually decided to pull out because of lack of match fitness despite the fact that Cesare Prandelli planned to keep him in the side for the tournament finals.
