Italian giants AC Milan are hot on the trail of AS Roma starlet Alessio Romagnoli, according to Tuttosport.
The Rossoneri seriously reinforced their attack with the likes of Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano, while talented midfielder Jose Mauri is set to join as well.
AC Milan officials are now turning towards defensive reinforcements, with AS Roma’s Alessio Romagnoli their primary target.
Having worked with the player while at Sampdoria last season, coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is eager to get reunited with the 20-year-old footballer.
Romagnoli himself wouldn’t mind working with the Serbian tactician all over again, but persuading Roma to let one of their hottest prospects leave will be no easy task.
According to the latest reports, the Giallorossi would consider offers in the region of €20 million.
After making just 13 league appearances for AS Roma, Romagnoli enjoyed a very successful season while on loan at Sampdoria, starting 28 Serie A matches and scoring two goals.
