AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has made Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic their main priority for the summer transfer market.
AC Milan have long been looking for a new defender, as their current defence has an average age of 31.
Galliani is keen to bring in Vidic to play alongside Thiago Silva at the San Siro.
A source told the Daily Star: “Milan have made a top centre-half their overriding priority.
“Vidic is the one they want – but whether United are willing to do business is another matter.”
AC Milan have also been linked with a move for Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.
