Ajax starlet Donny van de Beek has emerged as a transfer target for Serie A giants AC Milan, the Italian media have learned.
The highly-rated midfielder is going through a purple patch at the moment as he scored his ninth goal of the season this weekend in his team’s comprehensive 2-0 victory over fellow title contenders PSV Eindhoven.
Van de Beek also managed five assists during the current campaign and is being widely touted as the next Christian Eriksen.
Van de Beek’s flying form has the football world sitting up and taking notice with AC Milan currently being singled out as hot favourites for the 20-year-old.
Rossoneri are said to be keeping a close watch on Ajax star with prospect of making a move as early as January.
AC Milan have already invested a great sum of money on new signings last summer but have failed to join the Scudetto chase as they are currently sitting in disappointing seventh in Serie A standings.
