France Football has learned that AC Milan are in pole position to recruit FC Porto midfielder Gianelli Imbula.
The French footballer joined the Dragons last summer in a mega money deal, with Doyen Sports investment company helping the Portuguese side complete the transfer.
And with Imbula failing to impress at the start of his career in Portugal, it appears that the same company will now facilitate his exit from Estadio do Dragao.
Namely, France Football understands that AC Milan have all but reached an agreement to sign the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window.
Premier League sides Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Southampton have also expressed their interest in the highly rated footballer in the past, meaning they could rekindle their interest in the coming months.
Meanwhile, AC Milan continue to struggle in Serie A, but they can be backed at 8/11 to defeat Frosinone on the road next time out.
