AC Milan are interested in signing Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun on a free transfer in the summer of 2021, according to CalcioMercato. It has been reported by the Italian news outlet that Milan are looking at a potential replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and have identified Balogun as a suitable candidate.
Balogun is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, and although manager Mikel Arteta has said that he wants the 19-year-old to stay at the Emirates Stadium beyond the end of the season, no new deal is in place. There is a very strong likelihood that Balogun will leave the North London club when his contract ends at the end of the season.
Ibrahimovic has made 11 starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A for Milan so far this season, scoring 14 goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored. The Rossoneri are second in the league table at the moment with 49 points from 22 matches, just a point behind leaders and city rivals Inter Milan.
