According to a recent report from over in Italy, AC Milan will need to get clearance from bitter rivals Inter Milan if they want to bring Luciano Spalletti in as their new manager. Spalletti was sacked by Inter earlier on this year and still has a contract with the club, in an official capacity, until 2021. While they won’t need to travel far in order to complete the necessary arrangements, you do have to wonder whether or not Inter will hold up the red flag for this potential deal.
AC have had a poor start to the Serie A season and are desperately going in search of answers to their issues. From top to bottom their squad feels incomplete, and that includes in the position of manager.
Inter, on the other hand, are still holding out hope that they can make a push for the Serie A title – despite many believing that Juventus are going to run away with the crown once again.
