Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has learned that AC Milan are seriously thinking about cashing in on Keisuke Honda in January.
The Japanese midfielder has been relegated to the bench by coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and his situation does not seem like improving any time soon.
And with quite a few top sides still showing interest in his services, Honda would be perfectly happy to leave the Rossoneri in January, but it remains to be seen whether they will decide to sell.
From a sporting point of view, AC Milan would have no problems cashing on on the Japanese footballer, especially having recruited him on a free transfer.
But, the problem is that Honda is a key person when it comes to attracting sponsors from Asia and his potential sale would certainly have a detrimental effect on club’s marketing revenue.
AC Milan recovered well from the poor start to the season and having won three or last four matches, the Rossoneri can be backed at 11/2 to defeat champions Juventus on the road.
