AC Milan preparing summer clearout

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that AC Milan hope to see no fewer than six first team players leave San Siro at the end of the season.

The Rossoneri haven’t quite managed to live up to the billing in spite of the heavy spending, and they are now looking to get rid of some dead weight.

According to Tuttosport, on-loan forwards Mario Balotelli and Alessio Cerci will both be allowed to return to their respective clubs.

On top of that, Philippe Mexes, Cristian Zapata, Antonio Nocerino and Alex are all expected to leave when their contracts come to an end in June.

Meanwhile, Riccardo Montolivo and Christian Abbiati will both be offered new deals, although both players will have to accept pay cuts if they are to remain.

AC Milan occupy eighth place in the overall standings following the goalless draw with Carpi and they are 18/1 chance for a top 3 finish.
