AC Milan pursue Simakan

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, AC Milan and RB Leipzig are both in talks with Strasbourg over a deal for Mohamed Simakan.

The 20-year-old defender is widely considered to be one of the best young footballers in France right now, and with rumours suggesting he could be available for as little as €20 million, it makes sense that there is a lot of interest in his services.

Simakan was offered out to Premier League side Chelsea last summer with some suggesting they may come back in for him in a few months, but they may miss out on that opportunity if Milan or Leipzig have anything to say about it.

AC Milan are currently viewed as one of the leading contenders in the race to capture the Serie A title, but in terms of their long term future, someone like Simakan could be a mainstay in their defence for years to come.
