Italian giants AC Milan are preparing a summer bid for Lazio starlet Balde Diao Keita, Il Messaggero can reveal.
The Senegalese footballer has just over a year left on his current deal at Stadio Olimpico and he is not satisfied with club’s offer of €1.5 million per campaign.
AC Milan plan to take advantage of the situation and offer Keita a yearly wage of €2.2 million, but it will not be easy for them to reach an agreement with their Serie A rivals.
Namely, Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito wants around €20 million for his prized asset, which is definitely a lot for the player who will soon enter the final year of his contract.
Balde Diao Keita has showed a great deal of promise this season, bagging 11 goals in 27 Serie A outings, scoring a five-minute hat-trick in weekend’s triumph over Palermo.
Manchester United and few other top clubs are believed to be hot on the trail of the 22-year-old footballer, but AC Milan seem to be in pole position at the moment.
