According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are on the verge of launching a formal offer for Krzysztof Piatek. The Italian side are making no secret of the fact that they’ll want to move quickly in the wake of Gonzalo Higuain’s departure, which is set to go through in the next few days as he prepares to sign for Chelsea. Piatek, on the other hand, has had a fantastic run with Genoa since his move from Cracovia last year.
He is also a Polish international and at the age of just 23, it genuinely feels like he could take over from Robert Lewandowski as the leading light of the national team.
Milan haven’t been shy in making their intentions known in the January transfer window, and with just a few weeks remaining, we’re expecting a lot of activity from them as they continue their push for a place in the top four.
