According to a recent report from Sky Italia, Ukranian side Shakhtar Donetsk are receiving quite a bit of criticism from star player Taison after he was not able to complete his move away from the club. The 31 year old had a £27 million release clause, and heading into the final few days of the summer transfer window, the overriding belief was that AC Milan would do everything in their power to strike up a potential deal with him – hopefully for less than the £27 million that had been initially quoted.
Shakhtar have long since been viewed as one of Eastern Europe’s biggest and best clubs outside of the major European sides, but they haven’t been a force in European competition for a good few years now, dating back to when they won the Europa League.
Either way, it doesn’t appear as if this saga is going to end anytime soon, unfortunately for Shakhtar fans.
