Daniel Sturridge has long been out of favour under Jurgen Klopp at Premier League giants Liverpool, and rumours surrounding a potential exit have been getting more and more frequent. This week’s suggestion is that the striker will make the switch to AC Milan in January, according to the Liverpool Echo, as the Italian club looks to push for a Champions League spot after a summer spending spree.
The England international has started just four games in the Premier League this season and is finding it increasingly difficult to break into what is a star studded Liverpool starting XI. Thanks to his frequent injury issues Sturridge’s game time has always been sporadic at best, and there are few that would argue against his talent.
However with a World Cup coming up next summer the forward will need to rack up some consistent high level performances, which seems unlikely in his current situation. With that in mind a move to Milan could be the best decision, especially with the Italian club’s lofty ambitions.
