Nigel De Jong has struggled to make his ground under new manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, having played just once since September.
Dutch midfielder has been the subject of frequent rumours linking him with Leicester City reportedly interested in acquiring his services in January.
In addition to the Premier League outfit, Nigel de Jong has been heavily connected to Torino, who are believed to be preparing a concrete offer for AC Milan midfielder, according to the Italian media outlet Gazzetta World.
The Italian press suggest that Torino are willing to offer De Jong an escape route during January transfer window having pinpointed the experienced Dutch midfielder as the ideal replacement for Alexander Farnerud.
Rossoneri are reportedly unwilling to give up on the 31-year-old player, who is yet to regain his place in the starting line-up under the Serbian tactician.
Nigel de Jong has this season featured only five times in Serie A with his last appearance for the club coming on 13th December 2015 against Hellas Verona.
De Jong was dismissed at the occasion as he picked up a red card three minutes short of the hour-mark, and he failed to make a bow for AC Milan since.
