Italian giants AC Milan hope that Everton forward Gerard Deulofeu will remain beyond the current campaign, El Mundo Deportivo has suggested.
The Spaniard has finally managed to prove his worth at San Siro and chances are he will not be returning to Goodison Park at the end of the season.
According to reports, Barcelona have already decided to trigger a €12 million buy-back clause, but that does not necessarily mean that the 23-year-old will remain at Camp Nou.
In case Luis Enrique’s successor doesn’t want Deulofeu in his squad for the 2017/2018 season, the Catalans will immediately resell the player, possibly to AC Milan.
This is why the Rossoneri chief Adriano Galliani is speaking with his Barcelona counterparts and securing a permanent move for the Spaniard could be the final deal before he leaves San Siro.
Deulofeu has been in fine form this season, having managed 1 goal and 3 assists in 10 Serie A outings.
