Daily Mail has learned that Italian giants AC Milan are interested in signing Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The Rossoneri have already enquired about the possibility of luring the Frenchman to San Siro, but they have been informed they will have to pay top dollar for the 26-year-old footballer.
Namely, Newcastle will only consider offers in excess of £15.5 million, and it remains to be seen whether the two sides can eventually reach an agreement.
Having recruited Georginio Wijnaldum and Florian Thauvin, the Magpies can afford to cash in on Sissoko, especially since Siem de Jong has returned from injury.
The France international was widely tipped to join one of England’s top sides, but the Italian Serie A is a realistic possibility as well.
Newcastle will want to show major improvement on their performances from last season and the Magpies can be backed at 3/1 to achieve a top 10 finish.
