Daily Mail is reporting that AC Milan are close to reaching an agreement to sign Brazilian midfielder Fernando from FC Porto.
The highly rated footballer has entered the final six months of his deal at Estadio do Dragao and it is clear he won’t be signing a contract extension.
And while the likes of Everton and Inter Milan are keen on signing him this January, it appears Fernando will only be moving at the end of the season.
According to Daily Mail, the 26-year-old is set to agree a long-term deal with AC Milan that would see him join the Rossoneri as a free agent next summer.
Milan chief Adriano Galliani recently admitted the interest in Fernando and it appears the Serie A side have managed to win the chase for his signature.
Fernando has spent last six and a half years at FC Porto, making a total of 130 league appearances and scoring 2 goals in the process.
