KV Oostende winger Adam Marusic has moved to confirm that he is set to join Italian giants Lazio.
The 24-year-old will be signing for the Biancocelesti subject to passing a medical after his current employers accepted a €6.5 million proposal.
His agent Uros Jankovic confirmed the transfer speaking to the media at the Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade.
“The contract with the Biancocelesti will be signed after medical exams. Adam will be the first ever Montenegro international at Lazio,” Jankovic told Sportski Zurnal.
Marusic should have no problems settling in at Stadio Olimpico as Serbian footballers Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Dusan Basta and Flip Djordjevic all speak his language.
The winger, who is also capable of operating as a full-back, managed 5 goals and 6 assists in 40 competitive games for KV Oostente last season.
He has been ever present for Montenegro in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, starting each of six fixtures.
