Adebayor at it again

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has came out in the press and admitted he would like a move away from Eastlands.

It’s not the first time the Togo striker has demanded a move in his career after demanding a move away from Arsenal earlier in his career.

Form

The striker never seems to be happy wherever he is playing his football. If he is out of form he blames his surroundings.

And although he hasn’t had much playing time on the pitch when he has been on the pitch he has looked poor.

He hasn’t had much time on the pitch because he doesn’t work as hard as the likes of Carlos Tevez. With City playing one up front Tevez is definitely a hard working and better option for the lone striker role.

Terror

Adebayor has said in the past that he would never be the same person, never mind the same player after being involved in the Togo bus bomb attack earlier this year. This incident would scar anybody but his attitude doesn’t seem to have changed. He still likes upsetting his own fans.

Juve

According to reports he has issued a come and get me plea to Italian side Juventus. “I’d like to play in Italy and I can see myself in black and white stripes,” he told Tuttosport.

“I talked it over with Patrick Vieira, who holds excellent memories of the season he spent in Turin.

“Your (Italian) football focuses a lot on technique and I like it. I had already been in talks for a move to Juve during Fabio Capello’s time at the club, but nothing ever came of it.

“At the time I was very young, but now I am fully mature.

“I am going through a delicate moment in my career and something has to change. I am not annoyed with (Roberto) Mancini and we have an honest rapport, but we can’t go on like this indefinitely.

“Therefore, if Juve want me…”

Unhappy

It just sounds like he is throwing his dummy out of the pram because he isn’t getting enough time on the pitch. When he was unhappy at Arsenal and AC Milan showed a slight interest he told Arsenal he wanted to leave. Unfortunately for him Milan’s interest cooled and he had to move to City instead.

Temperamental

Adebayor is the ultimate diva. If he doesn’t fancy playing he seems to disappear from the game completely. And if things aren’t going his way sulks. This is not the mentality of a top quality player.

Mercenary

Manchester City are hoping to become a dominant force in world football but with players like Adebayor they will never be successful. Adebayor seems more interested in picking up a big fat pay cheque than performing well for City.

Good Riddance

When he left Arsenal I knew a lot of Gunners fans who said good riddance because they were fed up with him moaning and saying he wanted to leave the club.

I have heard murmuring that Manchester City fans are starting to turn against the striker because of his general attitude. It feels like history is repeating for the big striker. Maybe it’s the right time for him to leave these shores and annoy a new group of supporters in Italy.

Is Adebayor asking for trouble by talking about a move elsewhere?
