Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor was Thursday banned for his club’s next three matches as a result of a stamp on the face of Arsenal’s Robin van Persie at the weekend.

Announcing the ruling, the Football Association said the ban would be applied immediately, ruling Adebayor out of Sunday’s derby against Manchester United.

That is good for him, it would have been perfect if it is a month ban, because his action against V. Persie was so horror and therefore deserved more punishment.
