(GSM) – Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor was criticized for wearing a T-shirt that has an image of a gun on it. The Togo international’s T-shirt sparked controversy following the terrorist attack on his national team bus right before the Confederations Cup in South Africa.
Adebayor entered a 50 Cent show in Manchester on Thursday wearing a dark grey shirt with a white pistol painted across its front. The Togo captain, who escaped with no injuries after a machine gun attack by Angolan rebels, revealed how he “saw death” on the team bus.
The attack resulted in the death of three people on the bus and subsequently, Togo pulled out of the tournament.
Adebayor spoke about the incident, “We’ve seen death. It’s one of the worst things I have ever been through.”
However, the City striker’s controversy T-shirt has been seen a promotion for guns as “cool”, something which a witness spoke about to the Sun.
“I was very shocked considering the Africa shooting. His fashion choice is tasteless. It’s inappropriate for him to promote guns as ‘cool'”, the man said.
