A report from Talk Sport is today suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor could be on his way out of the club in the January transfer window.
It is thought that Celta Vigo are keen to snap up the forward, who has struggled to get in the side since making his loan move to White Hart Lane permanent in the summer.
Celta have only managed to score eleven goals in ten matches in La Liga and are considering a move for Adebayor this winter if he continues to find himself out of the starting eleven.
It has been Jermaine Defoe’s good form in the English Premier League that have led to the former Manchester City man’s poor start to the campaign.
With the current system Andre Villas-Boas likes to play at Spurs, only one out-and-out front-man is likely to start and at the moment, that man is Defoe.
Adebayor is also on high wages at White Hart Lane and the North London club may be willing to listen to offers for him in January.
Atletico Madrid are another side reportedly keen on the Togo striker, but much of their interest is sure to depend on the further of Radamel Falcao.
We shall see.
