Togo’s Emmanuel Adebayor has been given permission by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to feature in his country’s World Cup qualifier with Cameroon, this Saturday.

The African injured his hamstring six weeks ago but is fit to make an appearance this weekend. Clearance from Arsenal was required to do so.

“I have had a discussion with the boss and he’s happy for me to play. I’m happy to be home and the whole country is waiting for me to play,” the striker said.

Togo form part of African World Cup Qualification Group 1, together with Cameroon, Morocco and Gabon.
