Adebayor rubbishes reports of a move away from Arsenal

Arsenal star striker Emmanuel Adebayor has once again reiterated his desire to stay at Arsenal, this time denying rumours linking the striker to AC Milan according to Goal.com.

Sections of the Italian media reported that Adebayor had already agreed a move to the San Siro, and all that was left was for the Italian club to reach an agreement with Arsenal.

However, the Togolese star moved quickly to deny reports, claiming that he had absolutely no intention of leaving the Emirates.

Adebayor told the press: “I am very happy here. Reports which suggest I have threatened to quit are rubbish, I love the club and the fans. We have a great set of players here with a fantastic team spirit.”

“We have had a good season, but next year we want to go one better by winning a trophy.”

Adebayor, 24, joined Arsenal from French club Monaco for a reported fee of around £3 million in 2006, and has since become one of Arsenal’s best performers, ending the season as the joint 2nd highest scorer in England.
