The Sun understands that Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor could request to leave White Hart Lane in the January transfer window.
Despite enjoying a great season with the Spurs during a loan spell from Manchester City, the Togolese forward has encountered numerous problems since making a permanent move to White Hart Lane.
Adebayor has failed to start a single Premier League game under Andre Villas-Boas and is now thinking about leaving the club just few months after signing a long-term deal with Tottenham.
The 28-year-old experienced similar problems at Manchester City, where he started the first season after arriving from Arsenal as a first team regular, only to lose his place in the side in the new season.
Adebayor largely impressed while on loan at Tottenham last term, scoring 17 goals and setting up another 12 in 33 Premier League appearances, but he has made just four substitute appearances in the Premiership this season.
