Rangers youngster Adedire Mebude is set to join Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. It has been reported that the 16-year-old striker has turned down an offer from the Gers to sign a professional contract.
Mebude has come through the Rangers youth academy and is a player for the Scotland youth team. The teenager is highly rated, and the Glasgow giants want him to stay at the club and continue to progress after signing a professional contract.
However, Premier League giants City want the talented and promising teenager as well, and the striker has reportedly decide to move south and join the Citizens. It is likely that Mebude will initially be part of the English club’s youth team, and will hope to break into the first team in the next two or three years.
Mebude’s reported decision to snub Rangers will come as a blow for the Gers, but their loss would be City’s gain.
