AC Milan defender Adil Rami has suggested that he wouldn’t mind returning to French Ligue 1 amidst speculation linking him with a summer move to Marseille.
OM are set to stay without Rod Fanni and with Nicolas N’Koulou also linked with a summer exit, the club officials are on the lookout for central defenders.
According to the latest reports, Marseille are considering a summer bid for former Lille defender Adil Rami.
The 29-year-old has done fairly well since joining AC Milan from Valencia, but he has welcomed interest from OM, hinting he would have no problem returning to France.
“It’s too close to home,” Rami told Radio Monte Carlo when asked about a possible move to Marseille.
“Bielsa? This is a very good coach, I love his character. A return to France, I have not thought about it, because today I am at Milan. But, France has a championship that I respect.”
Adil Rami has scored 4 goals in 37 Serie A appearances for AC Milan, and he was also used as a right-back in lack of better options.
And with the Rossoneri expected to make serious changes to the playing squad in the summer, the defender’s place at San Siro could be in danger.
