Valencia defender Adil Rami admits he is flattered by the reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The Frenchman only joined los Che in the summer, but he has already established himself as a key player in Unai Emery’s team.
His consistent performances at the back saw him attract interest from several high-profile clubs, including Manchester United.
“I am only thinking about Valencia and fighting for a title such as the Copa del Rey,” Rami told Superdeporte.
“I want to become a historical player for this club because I am happy here. The people have been sensational to me.
Rami, however, admits to being flattered by the Manchester United link.
“I would prefer not to talk about (the rumours) but obviously I’m pleased. It means that I am performing well and that is what I want. But right now that (Manchester United) is not my objective.
“La Liga is more important than the Premier League. In England it is much more physical; that’s not a problem for me, but I prefer to touch the ball.”
