Adrian Lopez set for La Liga return

Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola is reporting that FC Porto forward Adrian Lopez is set to be offloaded in the summer transfer window.

The Spanish attacker joined the Dragons as a marquee signing a year ago, but he never quite managed to prove his worth at Estadio do Dragao.

Adrian only made a total of nine appearances in the league, while netting once in five Champions League outings.

And with Alberto Bueno agreeing a Bosman deal with the Dragons, the Portuguese giants are ready to listen to offers for Adrian Lopez.

The 27-year-old is widely expected to return to Spanish La Liga, where he enjoyed several very successful years while playing for Deportivo La Coruna and Atletico Madrid.

FC Porto have employed agent Jorge Mendes to try and find Adrian a new club and everything suggests that the highly rated forward will be leaving the Dragons at the end of the season.
