Adriano have a point to prove

Inter striker Adriano admits he have a point to prove as he works to get back to his best this season for the Italian giants.

The Brazilian have impressed new Inter boss Jose Mourinho recently and could make his comeback in the Serie A against Catania today. Adriano spent much of last season on loan at Brazilian side Sao Paolo.

“I remember that three years ago I was challenging Andriy Shevchenko for the Ballon d’Or, then it all went downhill,” he told Sky Italia.

“I think the Champions League can help me a great deal, especially on an international level. Everyone can see that I am still a great player and have a point to prove.

“People have lost faith in me, but if I want it, work hard and behave myself, I can become a champion again.”
