Adriano nears Barcelona exit

Brazilian defender Adriano Correia could soon be leaving Barcelona, Catalan daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has suggested.

The 31-year-old has a deal until the end of the season at Camp Nou, but he also has the option to automatically extend it for another year.

And while the Catalans are waiting to hear the player’s decision, everything suggests that he will be leaving the club when the current campaign comes to an end.

Adriano is no longer in the first team plans of coach Luis Enrique as he only made seven league appearances this season.

And with top clubs from abroad showing interest in his services, the Brazilian is expected to look for a new challenge in the summer transfer window.

Adiano has spent last six years at Camp Nou after joining from Sevilla and he has a total of 9 goals in 113 La Liga appearances for Barcelona.
