After an absence of more than seven months, Adriano returns to the Brazilian national team. The player was selected for the upcoming World Cup qualifier with arch rivals Argentina.
Adriano last represented Brazil on February 10th, and left Italian side Internazionale two months later due to a supposed lack of motivation.
This also led to the exclusion from the national team by manager Dunga. However, the forward then joined Flamengo in his home country and his enthusiasm level soon showed a significant improvement.
Adriano will get a chance to show this improvement in the qualifier with Argentina on September 5, and with Chile four days later.
