Former Inter Milan star Adriano Leite Ribeiro is nearing a move to Le Havre, his official representative has moved to confirm.
The 32-year-old has been without a club for the past six months, having been sacked by Atletico Paranense back in April for the breach of discipline.
French Ligue 2 side Le Havre recently expressed interest in the forward’s services and they are now set to open talks with his agents over a free transfer.
And while Al Jazira, Club America and Linense are also showing interest, Adriano appears set to move to France.
“We are going to France to visit Le Havre. We will decide his future after this trip,” agent Luiz Claudio told O Globo.
Adriano enjoyed a very successful campaign with Flamengo upon returning to Brazil, bagging 30 goals in 41 league appearances, but his career has since been on a major downtrend.
The experienced forward now looks set for a new spell in Europe, although it remains to be seen whether his off-the-pitch behaviour will again prove a stumbling block to a successful stint.
