Having ran over Norwich City in the opening round of the season, current Premier League leaders Liverpool were on course to make it two out of two as they led 2-0 away to Southampton.
Unfortunately for them, the clean sheet escaped them late when goalkeeper Adrian, backup to Alisson Becker who was a doubt himself for the match following a freak injury he picked up in the aftermath of his UEFA Super Cup heroics, made an inexplicable mistake and practically put the name of former Liverpool striker Danny Ings on the scoresheet for the Saints.
The moment was somewhat similar to the one of last year when Loris Karius enabled Karim Benzema to give Real Madrid the lead against Liverpool in the Champions League final.
