PAOK Saloniki once again lost terrain on the top of the Greek Super League on Saturday, crashing to a 1-0 defeat at AEK Athens.

AEK, who have not been able to convince so far, hosted a PAOK side that had won all of their recent games and were looking to close on leaders Panathinaikos and second-placed Olympiakos.

But instead, it was AEK to score the only goal of the match at the Olympic Stadium, with Gustavo Manduca directing the ball past keeper Chalkias in the third minute after the break.

Not only is the top two out of sight for PAOK, they might have to share their third place with Kavala after the latter’s away match to Larissa on Sunday.
