Thai FA Cup champions Chonburi advanced to the AFC Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Sriwijaya on Wednesday.
Two goals in the opening half an hour set the Thai side on their way and they added a third seven minutes before the final whistle in the comprehensive win.
Brazilian attacker Ney Fabiano struck first in the 17th minute, heading home a cross after teammate Phaisan Pona collided with Sriwijaya goalkeeper Ferry Rotinsulu.
Midfielder Therdsak Chaiman made it 2-0 on 29 minutes, converting from the penalty spot after captain Pipob On-Mo was brought down.
Natthaphong Samana should have made it three late in the second half, but he missed his chance when one-on-one with Rotinsulu.
He made up for his miss by sealing the win with a header in the 83rd minute.
The quarter-final draw will take place on June 7 with matches scheduled to be played in September.
