Agazzi agrees summer move to Milan

AC Milan have agreed to sign Cagliari goalkeeper Michael Agazzi on a free transfer in the summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri were on the lookout for a long-term successor to veteran keeper Christian Abbiati and they have reportedly agreed to sign Agazzi on a pre-contract deal.

The 29-year-old has been loaned to Chievo until the end of the season after refusing to extend his current deal with Cagliari that is due to expire in the summer.

After spending some time in Atalanta’s famous youth academy, Agazzi started his professional career at South Tyrol and went on to play for Triestina, Sassuolo and Foggia before joining Isolani in 2010.

He immediately nailed down a regular starting berth and subsequently made a total of 122 Serie A appearances for Cagliari.

Agazzi now looks set to continue his career at Milan, who are priced at 11/4 to defeat Napoli at Stadio San Paolo next time out.
