Napoli midfielder Jonathan De Guzman will be leaving the club in the winter transfer window, according to his official representative.
The Azzurri have ambitious plans in the transfer market, but they will also offload several players, with Jonathan De Guzman and Camilo Zuniga almost certain to leave.
Having failed to make a single appearance for the club since the season started, it is hardly surprising that the Dutch footballer wants out, and his agent believes a solution will be found soon.
“We’re looking for a solution, he will leave in this market,” agent Fabio Parisi told Radio Crc.
“It’s clear to everyone that his adventure with Napoli is over and we’re making some evaluations that we will resolve soon. We are in contact with Giuntoli to find a solution that suits everyone.”
Jonathan De Guzman joined the Azzurri from Villarreal in the summer of 2014 and he did fairly well during his maiden season, scoring 3 goals in 23 league outings.
However, he has surprisingly fallen out of favour under new coach Maurizio Sarri and wasn’t even considered for starting places this season.
But, having impressed during the two seasons with Swansea, a return to English Premier League could be on the cards.
