The father and agent of Genk goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Thierry has revealed that his son is set to complete the transfer to Chelsea.
The player’s father believes the transfer will be completed on Tuesday.
“He (Thibaut) was in Chelsea last week,” Thierry Courtois told Belgian newspaper Het Belang Van Limberg.
“I think Chelsea and Genk have reached an agreement. Tuesday we will come and talk about the transfer.”
He also added that the Blues could send the youngster on loan to Genk as soon as the transfer becomes official.
“Maybe Chelsea will lend Thibaut to Genk, but a contract extension does not interest us anymore.”
