Lyon captain Nabil Fekir could be leaving the club at the end of the current campaign, according to his official representative.
The 24-year-old was handed the captain’s armband last summer and he has since enjoyed a very productive campaign, scoring 16 goals and setting up another 5 in 24 Ligue 1 matches.
With top European clubs hot on his trail, a summer exit is a realistic possibility, and the player’s agent has also opened door to a move away from the club.
“If eventually at the end of the season, and this is not the case today, there was a decision to be made, we would sit down with president Aulas and we would find the right solution,” agent Jean-Pierre Bernes told Dauphine Libere.
“You know very well that at some point, we may be able to ask questions about a departure.”
Nabil Fekir is yet another impressive product of Lyon’s youth academy and he did really well to rediscover his form after missing a large chunk of the 2015/2016 season through injury.
Operating behind centre forward Mariano Diaz, the highly rated footballer has already scored impressive 21 goals in all competitions this season.
