Agent: Aquilani is staying at Liverpool

(GSM) – Alberto Aquilani’s agent has refuted rumours suggesting that the Liverpool player is ready for switch to Napoli.

There had been reports that the former Roma midfielder was heading back to Serie A with a loan switch to the Partenopei.

However, the player’s agent, Franco Zavaglia, finds the rumours regarding a loan switch as ”totally unfounded”.

“Aquilani to Napoli? That rumour is totally unfounded,” Zavaglia told CalcioNapoli24.it.

“Every now and then someone dreams. It’s fine to dream, but this is not an option that can be explored.

“Aquilani is a Liverpool player, he is admired by the new manager Roy Hodgson and will remain in England. This will be his breakthrough year in the Premier League.

“I also rule out another rumour of his potential return to Roma.”
