(GSM) – Milan Jovanovic is very happy with his transfer to Liverpool. On Tuesday, the Standard Liege attacking midfielder reached a personal agreement with the Reds. He signed a three year contract and will earn a reported 3million euros a year.
Only the medical tests can block a transfer but Jovanovic has no fear. “The medical tests in Liverpool won’t form a problem, I’m fit,” Jovanovic told Sporza.
“Why Liverpool? Because Liverpool is Liverpool, a European top club. This couldn’t be better.”
Valencia, AC Milan and Juventus were all thought to be keen on acquiring the Serbian international, but Jovanovic’s agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, has revealed the 28-year-old has been convinced to move to Anfield by Reds boss Rafael Benitez.
“We have spoken with Rafa Benitez and he convinced us about his project for the club,” Stojadinovic told the Daily Mirror.
“Milan speaks the language and adaptation will not be a problem for him when he moves to England.”
