A number of Premier League clubs are showing interest in AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas, the centre-back’s official representative has moved to suggest.
The Greece international is widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading stoppers and the Giallorossi face a real battle on their hands to keep him at Stadio Olimpico.
Having seen quite a few top clubs cast admiring glances his way, AS Roma officials are preparing a new and improved deal for their prized asset despite the fact that he has another three years left on his current contract.
Meanwhile, the official representative of Kostas Manolas claims that Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United are among clubs keen on his client’s services.
“It is possible that Kostas will sign a new deal at Roma and we will see what they have got to say,” agent Ioannis Evangelopoulos told ESPN.
“There was strong interest in Kostas from top clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United in the summer and I am sure those clubs are still watching him.”
Kostas Manolas, 25, joined AS Roma from Olympiakos two years back and he has since made 71 Serie A appearances, scoring 2 goals, while featuring in another 10 Champions League games.
